If this being had a message for us from across that cosmic ocean of emptiness, it would surely reach us after its death. The new limited edition of Aromatics Elixir was introduced in 2007, available in 100ml bottles with an addition of a retro atomizer which offers a romantic flair. I dont hate it I just dont love it like I used to but I remember this being a fragrance everyone wore and it was lovely. It DOES seem poisonous, like something to definitely be avoided, and is exactly what a witch in an old European fairy tale would smell like.

There is also something creamy about the scent up close and personal and a sweetness that could be coming form the orange blossom and rose.It's not an every day fragrance for me it's heady and has a way of transporting me back into time, but the patchouli is so good. I always had tons of compliments and I actually started wearing it because of smelling it on a friend's mother.

I like this "retro" scent (the very young might say "old lady" but it's lacking the powderiness I'd require for that label) although to my nose, it doesn't scream 70's (like I think my Revlon Ciara or Coty Musk do). For a green 70s psychedelic perfume, when you first spray it you’re hit with a surprisingly modern sprinkle of aldehydes.There’s a perceivable chamomile smell that was kinda missing, aldehydes, neroli and more civet than before. Of course it was sitting neglected and of course the Clinique girl seemed a little surprised that a 20-something year old would get excited over this particular gift set, as it's known that Clinique sales people detest AE because it's so strong! She sat with largely superficial composure, leafing through a Sylvia Plath book surrounded by flowers, dirt and dry leaves. Clinique's other scents, many of which I enjoy, are no where near this in lasting power and sillage.
